About Nick Heng

Nick lives to share the art of living well, bringing body, mind, heart and spirit towards a state of oneness. His teaching style is vibrant and energetic, and he brings a sparkly sense of fun and originality to every class.

With over 13 years’ experience, he   teaches from a place of practicality   and clear intention to guide his students towards wholeness. Nick is Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 hours certified & 500 hours trained in Flow Yoga, a FORREST YOGA certified teacher & YOGA BODYWORKER.  He is also a member of Yogavatar’s teacher training team as Yoga Philosophy and Lifestyle teacher.

About Chester Tan

Chester is a nutritionist, certified FORREST YOGA teacher who has been studying closely with FORREST YOGA Guardians such as Brian Campbell, Sinhee McCabe, Jambo Truong & Erica Mather. He is actively conducting FORREST YOGA classes, workshops & AIM YOGA RETREAT across the world together with Nick.

Having passion in mindful movement with joy in expression, Chester specialises in YOGA BODYWORK, to release pain and struggle in others, both on and off the yoga mat.

About This Workshop

Morning Session – Longevity (Therapeutic Back Bend)

The intent for this session is to connect to the yoga practice with kindness. Using the intelligent sequencing of Forrest Yoga, called synaptic bridging, you will learn to regulate your breathing to decompress your spine & muscles of your back. Discover how to bring enthusiasm and aliveness onto your entire back muscles, leaving the class ready to walk with confidence.

Afternoon Session – Go Deeper with Assistance (hands-on assist and bodywork)

This session is open to students and teacher that want to learn how to do hands on assist to go deeper practice using Forrest yoga and bodywork. Especially suited for those wanting to deepen assisting skills. You will learn injury prevention from repetitive yoga movements and how to guide structure alignment to avoid compression of spine and joints and improve body and breath awareness in practice.
